Board the yacht in Tivat and depart for Kotor, a World Heritage listed town at the head of a beautiful, fjord-like gulf. Go ashore and take guided tour through the town to make the most of your visit, as there is quite a lot to see in Kotor’s old walled city.
Dine ashore tonight in one of Kotor’s beautiful cobble-stone streets, or overlooking the harbour in the Galion Seafood Restaurant.
Overnight in Kotor Harbour.
Time for some shopping in Kotor this morning before a mid-morning departure for Perast, further up the gulf. Lunch at anchor off Perast. Be sure to visit the two islets which sit opposite the village and are each home to a church, “Our Lady of The Rocks” and Sveti Dordje, or “Island of St. George”.
In the afternoon, sail for Cavtat and moor on the town quay.
Clear into Croatia while in Cavtat — taking time ashore for a wander before moving around into the bay to the north for swimming and water sports. Overnight here, with dinner on board.
A morning sail into Dubrovnik. The yacht will anchor just a short distance from the town. Take a tender boat ashore, and then transfer over to the historic old town.
Your time here will be well spent in the company of a local guide, who will ensure that you miss none of the highlights of this most amazing walled city.
There are some wonderful places to relax and enjoy typical Dalmatian fare, so be sure to dine ashore in the middle of the day.
Take some photos of the entire walled city of Dubrovnik from atop the nearby mountain, accessible by cable car. Overnight in the nearby harbour of Zaton, with dinner on board.
Move on to the island of Sipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands and a beautiful tapestry of churches, old noble houses, olive groves, citrus groves, fig groves and vineyards.
Anchoring in the bay of Sipanska Luka, walk ashore and find a pathway up to the church. There is a small sign advertising homemade jams and liqueurs on the main road that winds down to the harbour, and for delicious treats to take home, make sure you walk through the garden and bag a souvenir of orange marmalade, made from local oranges.
Sipan is famous for its wine, which you may choose to try at the restaurant ashore here in Sipanska Luka, the "Konoba Kod Marka".
Mljet island is a wonderland of forests and lakes, and at Polace, there is a idyllic spot in which to anchor alongside thick, fragrant forests of pine. This is the Mljet National Park, where it is recommended that you hire a car or a bike and cycle/drive to the two inland salt water lakes - and perhaps boat out to the monastery of St. Mary, set on a tiny island in one of the lakes.
Sail for the island of Korcula and moor on the town quay, a short distance from one of the most charming small towns in all of Croatia.
The narrowest streets of Korcula Town are distinctly "15th century”, a time when stonemasons were very enthusiastic about leaving their mark, and so here you will find that highly elaborate facades abound. Korcula town is a feast for the senses and when dining out in a narrow, cobble-stone street you’re sure to be transported back in time.
Overnight in Korcula.
Sail to the harbour known as Vela Luka on the island of Korcula and take a walk ashore. While here, you may want to visit a local farmhouse and taste some of the local delicacies. Later in the day, sail for the beautiful port of Hvar.
It’s so charming and beautifully laid out!
Venetian townhouses line the streets, and shops, restaurants and cafes give the town a decidedly 'St. Tropez' atmosphere. The island of Hvar boasts more hours of sunshine than any other Croatian island, so you are certain to have views extending off to the far horizon when looking down on the port from the Spanjola Fortess, high on the hill above Hvar town.
Hvar is very lively by night, so make the most of the party atmosphere and dine out in style tonight.
Although Solta is the nearest island to Split, it is still somewhat off the beaten track. Drop anchor in the vicinity of six islets, Stipanska, Balkun, Saskinja, Polebrnjak, Grmej and Radula which are ideal for swimming and water sports activities.
The evening brings the opportunity to visit a charming fishing port, Maslinica, also on the western side of the island. Here, you may choose to moor at one of the nicest marinas in all of Croatia, the Martinis Marchi. Enjoy a sumptuous al fresco dinner on board or ashore in the marina’s fine dining venue.
Disembark in Split after breakfast.
